Fresh off his All-Star game MVP the reigning MVP Mike Trout hit his 3rd career walk-off home run to lift the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim over the Boston Red Sox 1-0 on Friday night.

C.J. Wilson got the start for the Halos and unfortunately got the no decision. He pitched 8 innings allowing 5 hits and 0 runs. He struck out 4 and walked 3.

Wade Miley was brilliant for the Red Sox. He 7 innings allowing just 1 hit while striking out 6 and walking 2. He was also awarded the no decision.

The Angels were held to just two hits tonight and one of them came when it mattered the most. In the 9th inning with 2 out and Koji Uehara on the mound Mike Trout hit his 27th home run of the year to give the Halos the 1-0 victory.

The Angels official Twitter account was pretty excited about the bomb.
