Mike Scioscia Steps Down

According to Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim longtime manager Mike Scioscia has stepped down.

Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reported further information.

Scioscia has been the Angels manager for the last 19 years. He led the Angels to the 2002 World Series and managed the club during thier brightest years.

He was the longest tenure manager in baseball but the Angels inability to make the playoffs consistently with Mike Trout left some fans upset over.
