The Dodgers have been scrambling to fill the fifth starter spot as Hyun-jin Ryu has been out with injury. With the way the Dodgers bats have been swinging Bolsinger won’t have to do much as he’ll get plenty of run support.
Bolsinger won the Pacific Coast League pitcher of the week award for his performances last week which may be the reason why the Dodgers will turn to him tomorrow.
So far in Triple-A this year Bolsinger has a 2-0 record through 11 scoreless innings. He last pitched in the majors last season with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
He struggled last season as he made 9 starts posting a 1-6 record with a 5.50 ERA.
Good luck Mike Bolsinger!
