Metta World Peace Will Start Tonight

Meta World Peace

According to the official twitter account of the Los Angeles Lakers, Metta World Peace will start in place for Kobe Bryant.

Baxter Holmes of ESPN.com also reported the news.

Reports surfaced earlier that Bryant would not be available tonight after playing 36 minutes in last night’s victory over the Pistons.

World Peace is averaging 6.5 points per game while shooting 39% from the field. He is also shooting 44% from behind the line.

Lakers coach Byron Scott has called World Peace the Lakers best perimeter defender and the Lakers will need plenty of that as they face Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight tonight.

Bledsoe and Knight are an explosive backcourt and provide a lot of problems for opponents. If the Lakers are going to win tonight they will need a strong defensive effort from everyone especially D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson.

Roy Hibbert suffered a broken nose last night and will be wearing a mask.

Let’s make it two wins in a row Lakers!
