The Memphis Grizzlies will take on the Los Angeles Lakers tomorrow night at the Staples Center. The Grizzlies are coming off a win against the Los Angeles Clippers. Click here to read the recap.
On the other hand, the Lakers are coming off a overtime loss to the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers played great basketball until the fourth quarter and overtime. Ultimately Kobe Bryant got tired and the Lakers went down with their 11th loss of the season.
James Worthy was not happy with the Lakers execution down the stretch and gave the Lakers some words of advice. Check out the video below.
While the Lakers and Grizzlies have already met once this year, the Lakers will look to have a better outcome. They lost 107-102 in Memphis and many fans believe the loss was due to a rare 5 point play.
“The Lakers losing by 5 points tonight is ironic because in the middle of third quarter they gave up a 5 point play. After a Mike Conley kicked his leg out on a three-point attempt and received the foul call, Byron Scott let the refs have it. Scott was awarded a technical, thus giving the Grizzlies the rare 5 point play.”
If the Lakers want to win this game tomorrow night they will have to move the ball effectively. The Grizzlies rank third in the league in fewest points allowed. They are only giving up 92.4 points per game, which will make it tough on the Lakers offense.
Marc Gasol seems to get better every year. The 6th year man out of Spain is averaging a career high 19.9 points per game and will be a handful for Jordan Hill to handle. Watch out for that matchup tomorrow night.
