Mariners Hire Scott Servais As Manager

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com the Seattle Mariners have hired former Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim assisant general manger Scott Servais as their new manager.

Servais spent the last four years with the Halos with Jerry Dipoto. After Dipoto resigned due to his issues with skipper Mike Scioscia it was only a matter of time before Servais and Dipoto would reunite.

Servais has no managerial experience and that doesn’t seem to be a problem in today’s game according to Rosenthal.

The Mariners confirmed the news of the hiring on their official Twitter account.

Servais inherits a ballclub with the likes of Felix Hernandez, Robinson Cano, Nelson Cruz, and Kyle Seager. It will be interesting to see how the former catcher manages his this ballclub.

Congratulations Servais and thank you for your services with the Angels over the last 4 years.
