Magic Use Hot Shooting To Down Lakers 127-105

The Orlando Magic hit 18 three-pointers including a franchise record 9 in the third quarter as the Los Angeles Lakers fell 127-105 on Wednesday night.
Marreese Speights led the Magic with 21 points in 23 minutes. Evan Fournier added 19 points, while Elfird Payton had 15 points, 6 assists, and 7 rebounds. Jonathon Simmons and Mario Hezonja had 14 points apiece, while Shelvin Mack had 13 points and 7 assists and D.J. Augustin had 12.
For Los Angeles, Julius Randle had 20 points and 9 rebounds. Brandon Ingram struggled to score but had 13 points 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 12 points and Jordan Clarkson had 20 points off the bench. Kyle Kuzma had quite a night with just 11 points.
Los Angeles connected on just 4/20 three-point attempts and you could tell that three-point barrage took on toll on the club in the third quarter.
Orlando was without Aaron Gordon and looked to bounce back after their loss to the Houston Rockets where James Harden scored 60 points and had a triple-double.
Los Angeles will take on the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night in Brooklyn.
