According to Mark Trudel of the Los Angeles Lakers, Lakers’ guard Lou Williams will not play tonight due to his grandfather passing away.

Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.

With Williams not available expect Nick Young, D’Angelo Russell, and Jordan Clarkson see a spike in minutes.

Williams won the Sixth Man of the year last season with the Toronto Raptors and signed with the Lakers this summer.

He has been one of the more consistent players for the Lakers this season. Lakers’ head coach Byron Scott also gave his condolences to Williams and his family. Mark Medina of the L.A. Daily News reported the information.

The Lakers take on the Blazers tonight and the Indiana Pacers tomorrow night. We send out our thoughts and prayers to the Williams family during this difficult time.
