The Lakers confirmed the news on their official Twitter account.
Starting in tonight’s preseason opener:
PG: D’Angelo Russell
SG: Lou Williams
SF: Luol Deng
PF: Julius Randle
C: Timofey Mozgov— Los Angeles Lakers (@Lakers) October 5, 2016
Clarkson who signed a big extension this summer was and probably is still projected to start in the back court when the season begins. He has a unique set of skills that should bode well in Walton’s system.
Williams on the other hand is accustom to coming off the bench. Williams won the 6th man of the year award with the Toronto Raptors before signing with the Lakers.
