Yahoo Sports reports that the Los Angeles Lakers and the reigning ‘Sixth Man of the Year’ have agreed to a contract.

The free agent, Lou Williams, has agreed to a three-year, $21 million deal. Adrian Wojnarowski reports:

Lou Williams spent last season with the Toronto Raptors where he averaged 16 points and shot 40 percent from the field. SB Nation writes, “The shooting percentages are not all his fault — Williams was the de facto bailout option whenever the Toronto offense stagnated, which it often did, and Williams often had no choice to take wild jumpers.”

Prior to that Lou Williams spent seven years with the Philadelphia 76ers and before that, 2 years with the Atlanta Hawks. He has fully recovered from a torn ACL injury in 2013 and has a career shooting percentage of 41.6 percent.

Although his scoring can be unbalanced, it is still an improvement for a team who has been struggling to land someone in free agency.
