Losing Streak Snapped; Lakers Beat Timberwolves

The Los Angeles Lakers have finally broken their losing streak. They beat the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight 106-98.

It was rookie night in LA, as Jeremy Lin was out with a sore knee, and Byron Scott benched the following players from the game, Carlos Boozer, Jordan Hill, and Wayne Ellington.

Ryan Kelly had a big night for the Lakers as he put up 21 points, Jabari Brown also was impressive with 20 an 7 assists. In fact, each of the starters had numbers in the double digits. Jordan Clarkson had 18 points,  nine assists and 6 rebounds, while Tarik Black scored an impressive 18 points and 10 rebounds.

As for the Minnesota Timberwolves, their rookie Andrew Wiggins, scored 29 points while Zach LaVine had 18. They have now lost 9 games straight.

Although the game was close-ish in at the end of the third period, the Lakers came out ready to go  in the fourth and the gap went from winning by 9 to winning by 17.

Up next the Lakers will host the Dallas Mavericks at home on Sunday night.
