Los Angeles Lakers vs. Sacramento Kings Start Time, Preview, TV
- Updated: December 21, 2014
The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Kings tonight as they play at home in Los Angeles. The Lakers are coming off of a close loss to the Thunder.
They were looking to string a couple of wins before the holidays
Kobe Bryant, who was honored pregame after passing Michael Jordan for 3rd on the All-Time Scoring list, had an off-night finishing with only 9 points on 3-15 shooting. He also dished out 8 assists and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Ronnie Price sparked the Lakers offense early, scoring 14 points with 4 three-pointers, giving the Lakers a double-digit lead early in the 1st quarter. The Lakers lead most of the first half, until a last-minute run by the Thunder gave them a 52-50 lead into the locker room.
Sacramento Kings have now dropped five straight and 10 of 12. The Kings were playing their second game since the surprise firing Sunday of coach Michael Malone, who was replaced by interim coach Tyrone Corbin on Thursday.
“Thirteen 3-point shots they made, and in the first half I think they shot 75 percent,” Corbin said. “We did a better job in the second half, but they shot it well early. They threw us off with their lineup, and we had to match up with their small guys.”
The Kings become sloppy and rushed when the opposing team ups the tempo, so it seems that this would be the Lakers best bet if they want to book a win before the holidays kick in.y
