The Los Angeles Lakers will travel to the Portland Trail Blazers tonight on the road. The Lakers are currently on a five game losing streak and ten game losing streak on the road.

Coach Byron Scott told the media the following today, as reported by ESPN.com:

“We got to stay positive,” Lakers coach Byron Scott said. “This is still a work in progress.”

Jeremy Lin is listed as day-to-day for this game and the Lakers will also be playing without Jordan Hill due to a quad strain.

The Portland Trail Blazers are in much better shape than the Lakers going into this game with a record of 35-17. They have not played against Kobe Bryant in the past two seasons and they aren’t complaining. Their head coach said the following to the media, as reported by ESPN.com:

“Obviously they’re not the same team without Kobe but the thing that sticks out in the game here they were up with under a minute to go and at their place it was a six-point game with under two minutes to go,”

Damian Lillard also said,

“They’ve got a lot of guys who are capable of going off,” Lillard said. “They won in San Antonio, they came here last season and won, both games that we’ve played them this year have gone down to the last minutes so I don’t think it’s a team we can overlook. We’ve got to come out ready to compete or else we’ll get beat.”
