Los Angeles Lakers Shut Down Nick Young

@LakersViews

The Los Angeles Lakers have continued their methods of shutting down veteran players adding Nick Young to that list. Los Angeles has already shut down Luol Deng and Timofey Mozgov in order to evaluate young players, Young joins that list.

Tyler Ennis, David Nwaba, Jordan Clarkson, and D’Angelo Russell will see an increase in minutes. Young has had a comeback season under rookie head coach Luke Walton. This season he is averaging 13.2 points per game shooting 43% from the field including 40% from three.

With that type of production Young might have played his way into an increase in pay this summer. The question is will the Lakers re-sign the guard or let him walk in free agency.

Young has his 170 three pointers this season, a career high. With Young’s shooting ability teams around the league will express interest in the guard.

Look for Ennis and Nwaba to try to soldify themselves in the rotation as they hope to be on the team next season. As more information surfaces on Nick Young and the Lakers we will keep you up to date.
