The Los Angeles Lakers were able to pull out a win tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers. The game ended 113-111 after going to overtime as Jeremy Clarkson hit the game time winner for LA.
Ryan Kelly, Wesley Johnson, Jordan Clarkson, and Wayne Ellington played heavy minutes tonight for the Lakers. Jordan Clarkson led the team with 26 points. Wesley Johnson led with 11 rebounds, Wayne Ellington had 20 points, and Jabari Brown put up 22.
As for the Philadelphia 76ers, Nerlens Noel led in scoring with 19 points and 14 rebounds. This was his ninth double-double of the month, and it was thanks to his six points that the game tied for overtime. Isaiah Cannon put up 18 points, and Ish Smith had 17.
This was a matchup between the league’s two worst teams and the Los Angeles Lakers came out on top. I guess that this is a positive for the team? But the Lakers lottery pick was jeopardized.
Up next the Lakers will play the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, as they return home from their road trip.
