Jeremy Lin, Aka Linsanity, will most likely be the starter for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. Click here to read more about the point guard battle with Steve Nash.

Lin broke on to the scene back in 2012 with his magical run with the New York Knicks. In case you somehow forgot just how good Lin was take a look at this video of Knicks beating who other than the Lakers behind Lin’s excellence.

After the magical run with the Knicks, Lin found his the heart of Texas and the Houston Rockets. Lin never really fit in with the Rockets but still had a productive two years. His slashing ability is what sets him apart from most guards in the league today. As opponents began to realize that driving was Lin’s strength they started to sag off of him and give him room to shoot.

Jeremy Lin has taken advantage of that additional space, and has improved his shooting ability each year. He has raised his shooting percentages from the field and from three, proving that Lin is more and willing to work on his weaknesses and take his game to the next level.

Is Jeremy Lin the magical player that we saw in New York during Linsanity? No. Can Lin be an effective player for the Lakers? Yes.

As Jeremy Lin expands his game and grows under Lakers coach Byron Scott who knows how good he could be. Scott has a thing with working with point guards. When he coached the New Jersey Nets he had Jason Kidd. With the New Orleans Hornets it was Chris Paul. And with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kyrie Irving.

Is Jeremy Lin any of those player mentioned? Hell no. But Byron Scott has the information in his back pocket to help Lin take his game to the next level. With an old and beat up Steve Nash, that next level for Lin may be just what the Lakers need in order to big that playoff push.
