Los Angeles Kings Vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Start Time, Preview, TV
- Updated: December 14, 2014
The Los Angeles Kings will continue their road trip through Canada as they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. The Kings have struggled during this road trip as they were blown out by the Montreal Canadiens on Friday night.
While the Kings got their fair share of shot attempts up, only a two of the 46 shots were successful. Defensemen Jake Muzzin talked to ESPN.com about the lack of goal scoring.
“We had the puck a lot and we created a lot, but no goals at the end of it,” Muzzin said. “You need goals to win. I thought we battled back and stuck with it and continued trying to fight and get some more goals. It just wasn’t happening.”
On the other hand the Maple Leafs have won 8 out of their last ten games, including four in a row. The Leafs beat the Detroit Red Wings last night 4-1. Richard Panik scored the go ahead goal for the Leaves. He talked to ESPN.com about his ice time situation.
“I’m just trying my best every shift,” said Panik, who saw less than 9 minutes of ice time. “It doesn’t matter if I play five minutes, I’m just focusing on the next shift. Now it’s going in the net so I’m really happy and glad about it. Hopefully it will just keep going this way.”
While the Kings have been up and down they hope to get back in the win column this afternoon. Today’s game will be a test for the Kings, let’s see how they respond.
