Los Angeles Kings Vs. Ottawa Senators Start Time, Preview, TV
- Updated: December 11, 2014
The Los Angeles Kings will take on the Ottawa Senators in the second game of the Kings road trip. The Kings struggled to put the puck in the net last time out as they were shutout by the Sabers 1-0.
Tonight will be the first game for newly appointed head coach Dave Cameron for the Senators. He has a tough task on his hand as he takes on the defending champion Kings. General Manger Byran Murray told ESPN.com reports this about the Senators play of late.
“We continue to be a big turnover team in our zone,” Murray said. “Our goaltending has been, to say the least, outstanding most nights to give us a chance to win hockey games. The chances against our team are, some nights, atrocious. I think there’s an obligation for a lot of people, the players included, to perform better than that. But the leader of the pack always is the coach.”
The Kings have had a tough time scoring of late. They have scored just 8 goals in the last 5 games, which may be the reason the team is 2-3 during that stretch. Kings defenseman Drew Doughty had this to say about the offensive production according to ESPN.com.
“We’re not scoring enough,” defenseman Drew Doughty told the team’s official website. “We’re playing well defensively, we’re not giving up a lot, but the bottom line is, we need to put pucks in the net.”
The Kings will look to get back on track as the regular season thus far has been lackluster.
