Los Angeles Kings Vs. Colorado Avalanche Start Time, Preview, TV

The Los Angeles Kings hit the road tonight in the first game of a quick two game trip as they take on the Colorado Avalanche tonight. Tonight’s against is of ample importance as the Kings are fighting their way for a playoff spot. The Avalanche are just four points behind the Kings and win for them would put even more pressure on the defending Stanley Cup Champions.

In the Kings last matchup they fell in overtime to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Although they did get one point for going into overtime at this point of the year the Kings need much more.

This is the second meeting of the year between these two teams. The Kings won the first matchup last month in a impressive 4-1 victory.

Expect Jeff Carter to have a big game tonight. In last month’s matchup he was able to score two goals against goaltender Semyon Varlamov.

Jonathan Quick will look to try to have a strong game in net. He had 17 saves in the Penguins game. Jarome Iginla leads the Avalanche in goals has found some difficulty  against the Kings lately. He has been unable to record a point in the last four games against the Kings.
