Los Angeles Kings Vs. Buffalo Sabers Start Time, Preview, TV
- Updated: December 9, 2014
The Los Angeles Kings will start their 5 game road trip with the Buffalo Sabers tonight. This road trip will be an important measuring stick for the Kings as they hope to move up in the Pacific division standings.
The Kings are coming off a close loss to the Philadelphia Flyers and will look to get back in the winning column tonight. The Kings may have been tripped up by the early start time of the Flyers game but Justin Williams told ESPN.com that was not an excuse for the loss.
“We weren’t prepared for the 1:00 game today. We weren’t ready to go right away and we got behind,” Williams said. “At the same time, we certainly had our chances to come back and atone for our start. But the power play didn’t get it done.”
On the other hand the Buffalo Sabers are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Florida Panthers. The Sabers had won 5 of their last seven games before getting swept in Florida. Head coach Ted Nolan was not pleased with the performance against the Lighting but told ESPN.com reports this about the Panthers game.
“Overall, I liked our game tonight; we competed, we worked hard,” Nolan said. “We came up on the short end.”
The Kings need to set the tone for this road trip with a win which is more than possible against the streaky Sabers.
