Los Angeles Kings Vs. Arizona Coyotes Start Time, Preview, TV
- Updated: December 4, 2014
The Los Angeles Kings will travel to Arizona to take on the Coyotes tonight. While the Kings are coming off a shutout win against Boston Bruins on Tuesday night they will look to continue the strong play tonight.
Goalkeeper Jonathan Quick recorded his 34th shutout of his career in the victory. Kings defensemen Alec Martinez told ESPN.com this about his goalie.
“The guy is unbelievable,” said defenseman Alec Martinez, who returned from a seven-game injury absence. “That save he made in the third (on Krug), I’m biased, but I think he’s the best goalie in the world. He just never quits on pucks.”
Speaking of Alec Martinez, the Kings reached an agreement with the 27 year old on a 6 year extension. For more information on the contract click here.
For the Coyotes they are coming off a loss to the Calgary Flames on Tuesday 5-2. Josh Jooris netted a hat trick for the Flames as the Yotes had no answer for him.
The Coyotes are struggling with consistency this season and Sam Gagner told ESPN.com this after the loss.
“We seem to be caught in this rut where we’re winning one, then losing one,” Gagner said. “We have to find a way to string some wins together and make sure we’re playing consistently.
While the Kings shouldn’t underestimate the Yotes, they should be able to take care of them quite easily. The Coyotes are struggling with an identity and the Kings need to take advantage.
