Slava Voynov had been a major subject of headlines earlier in the season. He was suspended indefinitely for domestic violence charges.
The Kings have missed Slava Voynov on the ice this season. They went out and acquired Andrej Sekera to fill the void.
NHL.com reported the following on their official website:
“Voynov, who is suspended by the NHL, was injured “in a recreational activity,” the website said. Recovery time could be at least four months.
Voynov was suspended by the NHL after his arrest on felony domestic violence charges on Oct. 20. He is free on a $50,000 bond.
He was seen on crutches and with a cast on his right leg at a pretrial hearing Wednesday, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Voynov, 25, played six games this season”
Hammond also reported that Voynov has made a change in his legal team.
Slava Voynov’s legal team now includes Blair Berk, who has represented many high-profile athletes/celebrities.
