The Los Angeles Kings were not able to pull out a win today as they took on the Jets. The game ended 5-2.

This marks the third straight loss for the Kings following an amazing eight game winning streak. After today, the Kings are now sitting three-point behind the Vancouver Canucks, which puts them at 9 in the Western Conference.

The ever reliable Jeff Carter pulled out two goals for the Kings but it wasn’t enough to beat the Jets. Andrew Ladd scored two for the Jets, with Tyler Morris and Blake Wheeler getting on the score sheet too.

With the addition of Carter’s two goals, he overtakes Tyler Toffoli‘s  20. He currently has six goals and six assists in his past ten games.

Jonathan Quick started for the Kings this afternoon and allowed four goals on 21 shots. Martin Jones then entered the game to replace Quick at the start of the third period and finished with 7 saves.

Up next the Kings will travel to Edmonton to take on the Oilers. This will conclude their road-trip.
