Los Angeles Kings Fall To Boston Bruins 3-1
- Updated: January 31, 2015
The Los Angeles Kings started their road trip off on bad note as they lost to the Boston Bruins 3-1. After an impressive victory over the Blackhawks in their last game they looked to try to build off that win.
For hockey fans that love offense, tonight was not the game to be at. Jonathan Quick had a strong game even though he was credited with the loss. He made 30 saves tonight.
This season the Kings have been the ones to fall behind on the scoreboard early. Tonight there were zero goals scored by either team in the first period.
A goal finally came late in the second when Brad Marchand scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Zdeno Chara and Gregory Campbell.
In the third period Jordan Nolan scored a slap shot goal that tied the game at one apiece. The goal was assisted by Drew Doughty and Jake Muzzin.
Less than two minutes later Chris Kelly scored a slap shot goal to put the Bruins back on top. His goal was assisted by Carl Soderberg and Torey Krug.
In the final minutes of the game Darryl Sutter pulled Quick from goal and Brad Marchand scored an empty net goal to make it a final 3-1.
Up next for the Kings they will take on the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night.
