Los Angeles Kings Alec Martinez Listed As Day-to-Day

According to Jon Rosen of lakingsinsider.com Los Angeles Kings defensemen Alec Martinez is suffering from concussion like symptoms and is listed as day-to-day.

Center Cedric Paquette laid a big hit on Martinez in the Kings 4-2 victory over the Tampa Bay lightning on Saturday which is were Martinez suffered the injury.
Martinez will likely sit out of today’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. With Martinez out Robyn Regehr will get an increase in playing time.
In Saturday’s win Regehr played a season high 29 minutes. Regehr spoke to Lisa Dillman of latimes.com about the opportunity.
“It’s up to whoever is in the lineup to try to get the job done and do whatever we need to as players,” said Regehr, who had two assists. “For us defenseman, there was a lot of opportunity to be on the ice. I think we did a pretty decent job as defensive corps.
The Kings will play their final game of their road trip tonight in Columbus, Ohio against the Blue Jackets.
