The Los Angeles Clippers will take on division rivals, the Phoenix Suns tonight as they travel to Arizona. The Clippers are coming off of a steam rolling win against the Brooklyn Nets, and they are now on the lookout for their fourth consecutive win!
NBA.com reports the following regarding after the game comments to the media:
“It was their defense that got us going,” coach Doc Rivers said. “Two things they’ve done better is they start with defense and get the ball movement. The bench is alive and that hasn’t been the case all year. It’s called growth and it’s good for our team.”
The Phoenix Suns are coming off of a loss to the Houston Rockets, which put an end to the stellar month, with a seven game winning streak. The Suns had three players who scored over 20 in that game, but it still wasn’t enough for James Harden and the Rockets.
NBA.com reports:
“I didn’t feel – coaches didn’t feel – we were ready to play tonight,” coach Jeff Hornacek said. “Just from the start, we weren’t intense. We gave up so many easy things.”
The Clippers will need to continue to focus on defense if they want to come out on top! They can also play on the Suns middling defense in order to break them down, as they have a tough road schedule ahead of them. Let’s hope the Clippers can win again tonight!
