Los Angeles Clippers vs. Phoenix Suns – Start Time, Preview, TV
- Updated: November 15, 2014
The Los Angeles Clippers will host the Phoenix Suns tonight in Los Angeles. The Clippers are looking to beat division rivals in their matchup. In the Clippers last game, they lost to the San Antonio Spurs 89-85. To read a recap of that game, click here. Blake Griffin lead the Clippers in scoring on Tuesday with 23 points, and 10 rebounds, but committed two consecutive turnovers that led to the Spurs taking their first lead. J.J. Redick added 13 points, and Chris Paul had 12 points and 10 rebounds while just missing his second triple-double of the season with nine assists.
“We definitely let that win slip away,” said Blake Griffin, who had 23 points and 10 rebounds. “I had two bad turnovers at a critical time. With all that, we still had a chance to tie it up and force overtime. It’s a lesson; we’ve got to keep fighting.”
The Suns wrapped up their 2-3 homestand with a loss on Friday despite Eric Bledsoe’s 22 points and 11 rebounds. They gave up an average of 94.0 points in their first two home games before allowing 103.6 in the last five. Saturday marks the first stop on a season-high six-game trip, though Phoenix may have reason for optimism given its 22-19 road record last season that was the eighth best in the NBA.
“You’ve got to do better than that,” Hornacek said after Friday’s setback. “If we don’t come and play well, we’re not going to win a game. It’s going to be tough going out on the road, but it’s a time to get together and get us going like we did last year on the road.”
Let’s hope the Clippers have what it takes to bring out a win against the Pacific Division rival.
