The Los Angeles Lakers will play at home tonight as they take on Staples Center sharers, the Los Angeles Clippers. The Lakers will be without Jeremy Lin, and Nick Young, Carlos Boozer, and Wayne Ellington. For the Clippers, they will be without Jamal Crawford.
The Lakers are back to losing following a defeat from the Portland Trail Blazers. They have now dropped 14 of 18 and are missing the playoffs, in back-to-back years, for the first time since 1976
As for the Clippers, they are looking to move half a game within the Western Conference’s third seed with their 10th win in 11 games; if they win tonight.
Doc Rivers is feeling confident about the way the Clippers are progressing. He said the following, as reported by NBA.com:
“You should be peaking because you play all year so you should get better,” coach Doc Rivers said. “I’ve said all year defensively we’ve had it in us, we just didn’t do it every night. Now we have the right focus.”
And J.J. Redick said:
“We’re trending in the right direction at the right time,” Redick said.
Let’s see what we can do boys!
