On the other hand, the Rockets are the current holders of the leagues best fourth-quarter-defense, which is something to be noted considering the Clippers have a pattern of pulling together in the fourth to win.
Clippers have averaged 29.7 points in the fourth quarter in its last four wins, shooting 53.9 percent and going 19 of 33 from 3-point range.
“On the road, like I said, you’ve just got to find ways to win,” coach Doc Rivers told the team’s official website. “It doesn’t matter how they look. They’ve played five on the road on this trip and won four. That constitutes a really good trip so far.”
The matchup between the Clippers and the Rockets has gone LA’s way the past nine meetings, and four out of five of those wins were in Houston. The Clippers will look to add another win to their very lengthy road trip.
The Rockets are coming off of a 102-89 win against the Kings on Wednesday which marks their third straight win after a surprising loss to Kobe Bryant’s Lakers.
“We kept breathing, our defense just kept grinding away and grinded out some stops,” coach Kevin McHale said.

James Harden is averaging 29.5 points over his last four games, but has a 13.5 career scoring average against the Clippers which is his lowest versus any opponent.
