The Los Angeles Clippers will travel to Oakland, California to take on the Golden State Warriors tonight. The Clippers are coming off a win over the Utah Jazz on Monday night.

Chris Paul notched his first triple double as a Clipper as they beat the Jazz 107-101. To read the full recap click here. On the other hand, the Warriors are coming off a win of their own.

The Warriors beat the Portland Trail Blazers in Portland 95-90. While the Warriors are off to their best start in almost twenty years they aren’t celebrating just yet. It was just six months ago that the Warriors and Clippers took part in an epic seven game series in the first round of the playoffs. The Clippers won the series and sent the Warriors home fishing, ultimately costing Mark Jackson his head coaching job.

The Warriors have made plenty of changes since the two teams met last post season. The big thing being Harrison Barnes is in the starting lineup over Andre Iguodala. This lineup change will be something to monitor as the season goes on.

The Clippers will need to be extra careful about how they plan on defending Klay Thompson. Thompson went off for a career high 41 points against the Lakers and followed that up with a 29 point effort against the Blazers. To read about Klay’s dominant performance click here.

Chris Paul will look to continue his strong play following his triple double performance. He had this to say to the Clippers team site:

“We can’t relax,” Paul told the team’s official website. “We have to get that killer mentality, and we have to put teams away. Teams are way too good in this league, especially now, and they aren’t going to give up. If we keep doing what we’re doing, they’re always going to feel like they can get back in the game.

The Clippers will need to keep their foot on the gas if they want to beat this strong Warriors team. The matchup between to Western Conference foes should be a good one aired on ESPN.
