Los Angeles Clippers Vs. Chicago Bulls Start Time, Preview, TV

The Los Angeles Clippers will continue their road as they stop by the Windy City and take on the Chicago Bulls this afternoon. While the Clippers are coming off big win against the Grizzlies on Friday night they will need another strong effort in order to beat one of the Eastern Conference’s best teams.

The Bulls are without their star player Derrick Rose who underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus.  It is well known that the Clippers are without big man Blake Griffin who is expected to return from his staph infection sooner rather than later.

With the absence of star power on both sides it will be even more crucial that the others step up. Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan have been carrying the load since Griffin went down. Paul will need to take advantage Aaron Brooks with Rose being out.

Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol will need to be effective in today’s game and both should be able to get their buckets quite easily. With Griffin out Spencer Hawes as assumed the starting power forward role and has struggled on the defensive end. As he isn’t know for defense to begin with it doesn’t help his case as he as been going against some of the league’s best these last few games. Gasol should have a field day.

The key matchup for today’s game will be at the shooting guard position. Butler is having his best season as a pro as he is averaging more than 20 points per game. He will be going up against J.J. Redick and Jamal Crawford as they provide offensive punch. When Redick scores 15 or more points the Clippers are 24-6. Look for Redick to be involved early.
