Los Angeles Clippers vs. Charlotte Hornets Start Time, Preview, TV
- Updated: November 24, 2014
The Los Angeles Clippers travel to the Charlotte to take on the Hornets tonight. While the Clippers are coming off a loss to the Grizzlies last night they hope to right the ship tonight.
It looked as if the Clippers had found their groove after big road wins against the Magic and Heat earlier on the road trip. The Grizzlies were able to shut the momentum and Blake Griffin down on their way to a 107-91 victory over the Clippers. Click here to read the recap.
Tonight’s matchup will be against an under performing Charlotte Hornets team. This offseason, the Hornets signed former Pacer Lance Stephenson in the hopes to make a run at a top four seed in the East. So far, the Hornets are just 4-10 and Stephenson has been underperforming to be nice about it.
Al Jefferson has been playing some excellent basketball so far this season. He is the leader and the anchor to this team and it’ll be important for the Clippers to try and slow him down.
The Hornets will be with out Michael Kidd-Gilchrist for the 7th game in a row due to foot injury. The biggest problem with the Hornets may not be there play but the way they are handling adversity. Head coach Steve Clifford told ESPN.com this about the situation:
“When things are going against us, it’s the body language, heads are down, there’s doubt and we’re a better team than that,” Clifford said. “I think you go through stretches like that sometimes in this league, unfortunately for us it’s early.
Tonight’s game will be the 4th of the Clippers 7 game road trip and they hope to improve to 3-1 thus far.
