Robinson started the season with the Denver Nuggets before being traded to the Boston Celtics back in January. After his contract was bought out the Clippers were linked very closely to Robinson due to his close relationship with Doc Rivers.
The Clippers waited to sign Robinson as they were weighing all of their options before the trade deadline and after nothing materialized made their pitch for the speedy guard.
Robinson has a relationships with many of the Clipper players. He played with Glen Davis back in Boston, and is from Seattle like a Jamal Crawford and Spencer Hawes. J.A. Adande reported his thoughts via Twitter.
