Another Los Angeles Clipper week is in the books with the Clips coming out with 2 wins and 1 loss for the week. The week really consisted solely of just decisive games with only clear-cut winners, meaning, the Clips’ two victories were blowouts and their loss was also a blowout.

Two good blowouts and one bad blowout is definitely a ratio the Clippers would prefer to have then having it be the other way around (like their cross-town rivals).

With that being said, lets take a closer look at the three games for the week:

Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Clippers –

This game featured 6 Clipper players reaching double digits in scoring. This would be a result of tremendous efficiency in shooting for the Clippers as they would shoot 52% from the field and 48% from the three-point line with a total of 14 made three’s in the game.

The Clippers would own the defensive boards (43-27) but would struggle to get second opportunities with offensive boards (4-16). Still, this was mostly a result of the Clippers only needing one opportunity to make the shot.

On the flip-side, the Phoenix Suns would only shoot 38% from the field and would fail to keep up with the high-powered Clipper offense.

Clippers’ center, DeAndre Jordan, would snag most of the boards with 18 for the game and Jordan would also have 7 blocks as he would have complete control of the paint for the night.

Point guard, Chris Paul, would be the leading scorer with 32 for the game to go along with 9 assists.

Final – Phoenix Suns – 107, Los Angeles Clippers – 120

Chicago Bulls vs. Los Angeles Clippers –

This would be the only loss for the Clippers during their week. It would be a tough game for the Clips as they would face the tough Chicago Bulls’ defense who were actually without Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol for the game.

Still, a Tom Thibeadou lead team, no matter who is on the court, will always show up with a vicsious defense.

While the defense by the Bulls was very good, the Clippers still had their chances to stay in the game or even win. For the Clips, it was failed opportunities at the free throw line (10-22, 45%). Those 12 extra points really could have helped the Clips as they would fall to the Bulls by 16.

DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin would each have double doubles for the game and, besides the big men, Chris Paul would be the only other Clipper with double digit points for the game (12).

Final – Chicago Bulls – 105, Los Angeles Clippers – 89.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Orlando Magic –

The final game of the Clippers’ week came on the road against the Magic. The Clippers would win this one pretty easily when just looking the score but the stats till a little different story.

The Clippers would be out rebounded severely in this one (39-48) which is stunning to see considering the Clippers still won by 24. Big man, Blake Griffin, would only have 4 total rebounds for the game.

This just meant, while the Magic had several opportunities, they could not get the shots to go down (39% from the field shooting).

The Clippers’ best player of the night would be Jamal Crawford who would come off the bench leading the team in scoring with 22 for the game on an efficient night (8-12 from the field).

Final – Los Angeles Clippers – 114, Orlando Magic – 90

Lob City MVP –

So, for the second consecutive week, our Lob City MVP has to go to point guard, Chris Paul.

Paul was the most consistent player on the Clippers’ team this past week averaging 20 points per game and 8 assists.

Paul was also the most efficient player having a field goal percentage of 62% and three-point percentage of 66%.
