Little League Dominates CaliSports News in 2018
- Updated: September 5, 2018
CaliSports News’ August page view counts are now official, and for the third straight month, this web site’s most popular article focuses on Little League baseball. The CSN article with the most page views during August is … (drum roll) … Resurrecting A Miraculous Little League Dream.
A major contributing factor to that story’s popularity is that Manhattan College Athletics shared on its own web site the link to CSN’s article, as did We The Italians. Big thank you to both of them.
But wait, there is more. The top five most-read CSN articles so far in 2018 are all related to Little League. The order of those five in terms of popularity has shifted a bit since last month. Here are CSN’s top five for 2018 in ascending order starting with this web site’s no. 5 most popular article:
(5) Huntington Valley And Park View Reach Final 20, Santa Margarita Survives
(4) Let The CA District 42 Battles Begin!!
(3) José Mendoza and Michael Rodríguez Lead Park View Into The District 42 Drivers Seat
(2) Abby Steffen, Sweetwater Valley’s First Female All-Star
(1) Get Ready For SoCal’s Little League Baseball Tournament
As we see, for the second straight month, Get Ready took the top spot. However, Abby Steffen has made its move and is coming on strong. By the end of 2018, the final results should be interesting. CSN’s Director of Little League says the Abby Steffen article is no. 2 with a bullet, and puts his money on that story to finish the year as his newly-formed department’s most popular article, and very likely as the most popular article on the entire web site. We will find out in January if I am correct.
Oh, did I mention I am now CSN’s Director of Little League? Just in case you missed the announcement: CSN Names Rabbi Rabbs Director Of Little League
My new department is looking for writers. If you are interested in covering Southern California’s youth baseball, or if know of someone who might be interested, please contact Rabbi Rabbs or kindly submit an application to CaliSports News.
