Lakers Waive Anthony Brown
- Updated: October 24, 2016
According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com, the Los Angeles Lakers have waived former second round pick Anthony Brown.
It’s official: Metta World Peace has made the Lakers’ 15-man roster. Ditto for Thomas Robinson. L.A. makes room by releasing Anthony Brown.

Mike Brenshan of Spectrum Sports also reported the news.
When Anthony Brown was drafted 34th overall in 2015, the Lakers hoped he would “play D and hit threes.” It never fully materialized.

Eric Sondheimer of the Los Angeles Times shared his thoughts.
Anthony Brown is waived and Metta stays? It’s going to be another interesting Lakers season.

Brown was a second round pick of the Lakers last season. He played in 29 games starting in 11 of them and averaged 4 points per game.
Last season the Lakers waived Jabari Brown to make room for Metta World Peace, and this year Brown has become the victim. Los Angeles will open up their season this week against the Houston Rockets at the Staples Center.
Fans can tune into the game at 7:30 p.m. PST
