Lakers Travel To Memphis To Take On Grizzles
- Updated: December 27, 2015
The Los Angeles Lakers will travel to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies on Sunday afternoon. While the Lakers are coming off a loss on Christmas Day to the Los Angeles Clippers they will look to right the ship tonight.
Los Angeles comes into this game with a 5-25 record while the Grizzlies sport a 16-16 clip. Many people have been disappointed with the level of consistency the Grizzlies have played with so far this season.
Memphis has lost four of their last six games. Their most recent loss came against the Charlotte Hornets last night 98-92.
Memphis has been trying find some answers to their problems so they have experimented with their starting lineup. Zach Randolph is now coming off the bench and he recorded a double-double last night.
Memphis also has two former D-league players on their roster as of this writing. Earlier in the week they called up Russ Smith and Jarell Martin and they have decided to keep them on the roster for now.
Marc Gasol is leading the team in scoring with 16.2 points a game but the team will need more from him if the Grizzlies want to be considered a threat in the West. Mike Conley who is in a contract year is averaging 15.1 points per game.
Kobe Bryant will continue his farewell tour when the Lakers hit the floor tonight. If Memphis continues to struggle to score the basketball the Lakers could have a chance in tonight’s contest.
