Lakers Travel To Boston

@BostonDotCom

Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers will travel to Boston tonight as the Lakers continue their road trip. In what will be Bryant’s final time playing at the TD Garden there will be plenty of emotion.

The Lakers Celtics rivalry hits home with fans of different generations. My parents remember Magic Johnson and Larry Bird going at it. I remember Kobe and Pau Gasol losing to Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett. I can’t lie there is a little piece of me that wishing Pierce was going up against Kobe one last time as a Celtic.

Los Angeles comes into this game with a 5-27 record with their most recent loss coming against the Charlotte Hornets. Kemba Walker scored 38 points and it was too much for the Los Angeles to handle.

For Boston they enter tonight on a four game winning streak. They beat the New York Knicks on Sunday 100-91. Boston may be without David Lee who is dealing with a back injury. He returned to practice yesterday but it is unsure if that means he is ready to go tonight or not.

Marcus Smart returned to the Celtic lineup on Sunday. He missed 18 games due to a lower left leg injury and will be on a minute restriction as he works his way back into health. Boston also sent down Jordan Mickey to the D-League Maine Red Claws on Monday.

Boston is led by Isaiah Thomas in scoring. He is averaging 20.7 points per game. Avery Bradley is also having a strong season for the Celtics. Bradley is averaging 15.2 points per game.

The Lakers Celtics rivalry is something that everyone looks forward to even if one of the teams aren’t good. In order to be considered a great Laker or Celtic you have to have a signature moment against your rival. Bryant certainly as had his fair share of memories.

You can watch the game on NBATV.
