Lakers Take On Pelicans In the Big Easy

The Los Angeles Lakers will travel to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans in the Big Easy on Thursday night. Los Angeles is coming off a win against the Minnesota Timberwolves and will look to build on that momentum.

Los Angeles comes into the game with a 10-41 record while the Pelicans sport a 18-30 clip. The Pelicans have lost two in a row coming into tonight  with their most recent loss coming last night against the San Antonio Spurs.

For Los Angeles Kobe Bryant is listed as questionable. He is dealing with a sore shoulder and at the time of this writing his status is unknown.

Tarik Black is listed as probable. Black received X-rays for a sore left foot and the results came back negative. He may be available but it is unknown how long Byron Scott will play him.

Tyreke Evans missed last night’s game with a knee injury. He was listed as doubtful last night and it unlikely that he will play tonight.

New Orleans is led by All-Star Anthony Davis. Davis is averaging 23 points and 10.3 rebounds a night. With new head coach Alvin Gentry the Pelicans have adapted to the pace and space style of basketball. To many people’s discomfort Davis is finding himself on the wing and the perimeter more and more.

Ryan Anderson is second on the team in scoring. He is averaging 17.2 points a night to go along with 6.3 rebounds. Anderson is coming off the bench and has been the subject of some trade rumors.

Expect a good matchup between Jrue Holiday and D’Angelo Russell as well. Let’s get this win Lakers!
