Lakers Take On Jazz At Staples Center

The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Utah Jazz on Sunday night at the Staples Center. Los Angeles is coming off of two solid performances against the Sacramento Kings and Oklahoma City Thunder which both resulted in losses.

Utah comes into this game with 16-20 record as they fight for a playoff spot in the competitive Western Conference. Los Angeles is 8-30 as they try to claw their way into contention.

Rudy Gobert returned from a knee injury and has needed Tibor Pleiss run of minutes. Pleiss did not play at all against the Miami Heat.

Derrick Favors did not play on Saturday’s game due to a back injury. His status as of this writing is unknown for tonight’s game.

Rodney Hood is listed as questionable for tonight’s game as well. He did not play against the Heat either due to an ankle injury.

Gordon Hayward leads the team in scoring with 19.2 points per game. Favors is averaging 17 points per night while Alec Burks is having a strong year with 14.3 points.

Los Angeles will look to end the short losing streak tonight. Brandon Bass is listed questionable for tonight as well as D’Angelo Russell. Kobe Bryant is expected to play as well.
