Lakers Take Game One Of The NBA Finals, 116-98.

Game One of the NBA Finals went to the Los Angeles Lakers, as they faced the Miami Heat for the first time.

The Lakers made a statement in their 116-98 win over the Heat. Superstars Anthony Davis and Jimmy Butler made their NBA Finals debut and both were not in awe of the situation. Butler led the Heat with 23 points, 4 rebounds and, 5 assists. Davis led all scorers with 34 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. A perfect 10/10 from the foul-line and 2/4 from deep.

LeBron James made his usual appearance in the NBA Finals for the tenth time in his great career. James ended with a double-double, 25 points, 12 rebounds. The Lakers stunned the Heat with 15 three-pointers made in the game. For a team that wasn’t shooting well at the beginning of the playoffs, the Lakers looked amazing in the win.

The Heat was beaten up in this game. Heat point guard Goran Dragic left the game in the second quarter with a foot injury. Butler was sidelined for several minutes due to a twisted left ankle.

The Lakers actually trailed in the game at one point, but the contributions of Danny Green and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s three-point shooting kept the Lakers in the game. Everyone on the Lakers roster played a major roll in the victory.

Game two of the NBA Finals will continue from Orlando, as the Lakers will try to take a two-game advantage in the series.
