Lakers Snap Road Losing Streak With Win Over Knicks

The Los Angeles Lakers snapped a 12-game road losing streak as they beat the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden 121-107 on Monday night.

For New York who has been in their fair share of drama over the last few weeks added to it with a bad loss to Los Angeles.

Lou Williams led the Lakers in scoring with 22 points off the bench. Nick Young added 17 points and 5 rebounds. Brandon Ingram and Julius Randle each scored 14 points. Jordan Clarkson chipped in 12 and Larry Nance Jr. recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Ivica Zubac reached double figures as well with 10 points.

Carmelo Anthony has been involved in numerous trade rumors had a solid game scoring 26 points. Kristaps Porzingis added 16 points and 9 rebounds, while Kyle O’Quinn reached double figures with 10 points.

Brandon Jennings and Justin Holiday each reached double figures with 16 and 14 points respectively. The difference in the game was Los Angeles’ ability to rebound the basketball. They out rebounded the Knicks 55-40 including 20-6 on the offensive glass.

Up next for Los Angeles they will take on the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night.
