Lakers Re-Sign Metta World Peace

According Shams Charmina of the Vertical, the Los Angeles Lakers have re-signed forward Metta World Peace.
Metta World Peace has reached agreement on a deal to re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, league sources tell The Vertical.

Mike Bresnahan of Spectrum Sportsnet spoke to World Peace about the deal.
Metta World Peace, 36, says he’s “very excited” about rejoining Lakers: “I can still play. It’s great to be going to training camp.”

Peace is a former first round pick of the Chicago Bulls in the 1999 NBA Draft. He has a enjoyed a 16 year NBA career and will look to be a mentor this season to the younger Laker players.
Artest was part of the Lakers most recent championship in 2010 and hopes to teach young forwards Brandon Ingram and Julius Randle some tricks to the trade on defense.
