According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com the Los Angeles Lakers are planning to interview former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach David Blatt for their head coaching vanciy.

Here is an excerpt from Stein’s article on ESPN.com

“Sources say the Lakers also plan to interview former Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt and have strong interest in UConn coach Kevin Ollie. Los Angeles has a long list of candidates they are considering and Blatt is respected around many NBA circles. The general feeling is that Blatt is more than capable of leading a team as a head under different circumstances that were in Cleveland.

The Lakers have already received permission to speak to Ettore Messina and Luke Walton about the position as well. Many experts believe Walton is the heavy favorite to land the job.
