Chris Haynes reported further information on the news.
Sources say Derrick Rose “just wants to play ball,” so it appears whichever team can sell its atmosphere, defined role will have advantage.

Rose the former MVP spent last season with Carmelo Anthony and New York Knicks after spending his entire career with the Chicago Bulls.
Rose was linked heavily to the Minnesota Timberwolves but they decided to go in a different direction and signed Jeff Teague. In recent days talks have heated up with Rose and Cleveland Cavilers on a one-year deal.
If Los Angeles can convince Rose to sign they would have a very solid group of guards led by Lonzo Ball. The club has already inked swingman Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and have Jordan Clarkson on the roster as well.
