Lakers Lose To Portland, 108-87

The Portland Trail Blazers ended the Los Angeles Lakers brief winning streak with a 108-87 win at the Staples Center.
The game was interrupted in the third quarter when D’Angelo Russell and Portland guard Damian Lillard briefly squared off in a war of words on the court, with no punches thrown.
Los Angeles held a two-point lead at the half but their struggles continued in the third quarter, scoring only 12 points in the period. Luol Deng led the Lakers in scoring with 14 points, Brandon Ingram added 11 points and was a perfect two for two from the three-point line, to lead the bench scoring. Lou Williams scored 10 points off the bench, as Los Angeles only had three players in double figures in scoring.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS FOR THE LAKERS:
Los Angeles managed to shoot better from the three-point line at 37.5% and the team managed to limit the turnovers, only committing ten for the game.
NEXT UP FOR THE LAKERS:
The team will travel to Texas to face the San Antonio Spurs for the first time this season. Los Angeles (15-27)
are currently in fourth place in the NBA’s Pacific Division.
