Lakers Lose For Tenth Time In Eleven Games

‏@LakersDirect

The Lakers are struggling. Perhaps the opening weeks of the season gave us some false hope. At 10-10, just a short time ago, it was difficult to envision a stretch like this was looming. But here we are in late December dealing with what we can only hope is rock bottom.

Los Angeles hung around with Hornets for the vast majority of Tuesday night’s affair in Charlotte. Los Angeles, in fact, led by as many as seventeen and held a slim lead after three-quarters. But a -6 final frame sent the Lakers to their tenth loss in eleven games.

Jordan Clarkson dropped twenty-five off the bench on just thirteen shots to lead all Lakers scorers. Nick Young posted an efficient twenty-four points in twenty-seven minutes. But Kemba Walker and Nicolas Batum served up a one-two punch Los Angeles would not recover from. The two combined for forty-five points on 17-36 shooting.

At 11-20, Los Angeles has a nice view from the basement of the Western Conference, and tensions are growing left and right.

Los Angeles is in Miami tomorrow night for a game that most would’ve described as winnable just three short weeks ago. Make of that what you will.
