The Los Angeles Lakers lost by one point tonight as they took on the Charlotte Hornets, the game ended with the score at 104-103.

The Lakers got off to a good start offensively and the young Lakers players started to get hot on the ball. Jeremy Clarkson and Jeremy Lin both started their scoring sprees early. As the first quarter closed, the Lakers were up by three at 30-27.

Coming back to start the second quarter was a different story as the offense slowed down. With a lot of back-and-frothing going on between both teams, the half ended with both teams racking up 50.

Rob Sacre got the momentum back after the half with his free throws but before you knew it the Hornets took advantage of a turnover and the Lakers were down by 4. The third ended 74-70.

The fourth quarter was jam-packed with game. Jeremy Lin was able to tie the game at 76 after a contested layup but not after the Hornets answered with a three-point play. With nine seconds left on the clock there was a three-point lead in Charlotte’s favor. Mo Williams added two more to the score making the lead 5. Jordan Hill came to save the day with a lay up, Jordan Clarkson forced a foul and the Lakers were down 3. Mo Williams stepped back to the line; missed the first, made the second = Four-point game. Lin hit a three at the buzzer but it wasn’t enough.

Jeremy Lin ended the night with 23 points 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Jordan Clarkson 19 points and 4 assists.
