Lakers Host Grizzlies At Staples Center

@TWCSportsNet

The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Memphis Grizzlies at the Staples Center on Friday night. Los Angeles and Memphis met on Wednesday night with Memphis prevailing.

The Grizzlies have a 33-23 record while the Lakers sport a 11-48 clip. Memphis has won three of their last four games even with the news of Marc Gasol.

Jarell Martin was assigned to the D-League Iowa Energy on Thursday night. As rookie it has been hard for Martin to get minutes.

Mike Conley and Zach Randolph lead the Grizz on offense with Gasol out. With Conley expected to be an unrestricted free agent this summer as it will be interesting to see who will chase the point guard.

Conley is averaging 15.1 points per game and Randolph is averaging  14.3 points a night. Although the Grizzlies are currently in the playoffs many people don’t believe the Grizz are a serious title contender.

Kobe Bryant and Vince Carter has a moment on Wednesday’s game. The two old men of the NBA got a chance to relive the old days with Bryant hitting a fadeaway over Carter.

Hopefully the Lakers can end their losing streak at home.
