Lakers Get A Much Need Win Over Bucks, 1113-95

@NBAcom

The Milwaukee Bucks were coming off a very historical win in their last contest, but the Lakers came up with the victory, 113-95. The Bucks ended the Golden State Warriors streak at 24 wins to start the season, and this might have been a bit of an over-looked game for Milwaukee.

Los Angeles returned home for a very nice win over the Bucks, in a very impressive style. This was one of the most complete victories of the season.

Our superstar Kobe Bryant, led this team in scoring with 22 points, on just 7 of 15 shooting from the floor. D’Angelo Russell, who came off the Lakers bench and received a huge amount of playing time, 30 minutes, scored 19 points and added 7 assist to lead the team in that category. The Lakers sixth-man Julius Randle, had an outstanding game, a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds, shooting 50% from the floor and a perfect 100% from the foul line, this was one of the biggest keys to the Lakers win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS FOR THE LAKERS:

A very impressive win, started by a few simple things. Los Angeles took total control on the boards. The numbers were very nice, out rebounding Milwaukee, 52-38 and on the offensive side, 18-12. Free-throws are very important, the Lakers only missed four shots from the line, going 21-25, for a very nice 84%. The team was able to get great contributions from all players, in which seven of the eleven players that played, scored in double-figures.

Home cooking is a great thing, the team came out on fire, scoring 30 points after the first quarter, and building a very nice 55-46 lead at the half. The momentum did not let up in the second half, Los Angeles torched the Bucks in the third quarter for 31 points. Milwaukee had their best quarter in the fourth, only outscoring Los Angeles by two points, but it wasn’t enough to win this game, as the Lakers won their fourth game of this season.

NEXT UP FOR THE LAKERS:

Los Angeles will host the Houston Rockets, who they just seen a few days ago in which the result wasn’t very good. Houston pounded the Lakers 126-97, behind a 30 point performance by James Harden. The Lakers (4-21), remains in the cellar of the NBA’s Pacific Division, 20 full games behind the Warriors. This game between Houston and the Lakers will be played on Thursday night, at 10:30 pm EST, as part of the TNT’s second game of the night.
